SKATERS, the OG trendsetters

Baggy clothes, oversize fitting and low top skate shoes have been the style for skaters in the 1970s and the legacy still goes on, still wondering if baggy and oversized fits are the latest trends in the market?. The baggy loose fitting trousers and t shirts/shirts were first famous among the skaters. Anyone who used to dress loose and free was easily recognizable as someone who rides on a deck with 4 wheels. The only fashion trend which has not changed till date, is skatewear. But why do skaters need baggy fit clothes ? Skatewear is essentially known as the kind of clothing to be worn during skateboarding. This kind of clothing includes oversized fits, baggy fits, graphics tees, beanies, bandanas etc. Skatewear clothes are made in a way which is durable for skaters, hence the fabric used for the same is heavy, which mostly involves denims and corduroy; widely known for its durability. Skate trousers and shorts tend to be straight-leg cut, baggy fit rather than skinny fit as a lot of time is spent squatting on the board. Baggy shirts, t-shirts and hoodies are comfortable and don't restrict motion of the skateboarder. Skaters wear baggy clothes for comfort, movement and protection.

SKATRD’s S-235 Pleated Skate pants has been our most favourite skate pants with that straight-leg cut fit with enough room for movement for our skaters. SKATRD’s Skate pants are made in for skaters to have ease in landing their tricks and have a free movement while skateboarding.
